Drug Arrest in Fulton County

Date of News Release: 08/02/2007

(FULTON, KY.) On 8-1-07, Kentucky State Police Detectives arrested a Fulton County woman after making a controlled marijuana delivery to her home. Earlier in the day, detectives intercepted a parcel package in Paducah containing twelve (12) pounds of processed marijuana. The package originated from Texas. A Kentucky State Police Detective, disguised as a delivery person, delivered the box containing twelve pounds of paper to a home on Arch Street in Fulton. Once the person signed for the box, the detective identified himself and arrested, Diane Turner, 54. She was charged with Trafficking in Marijuana over 5 pounds. After searching her home, she was also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offense-Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense. Turner was lodged in the Fulton County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigations West and Fulton Police Department assisted Post One Detectives. The investigation is continuing with additional charges pending.
