Manufacturing of Methamphetamine Arrest in Calloway County

(Mayfield, KY) - On 6-25-07 at 2:15AM Trooper Donald Bowman stopped a vehicle at 4th and Maple in Murray for traffic violations. After speaking to the driver, Ashley Hawkins, Trooper Bowman and Trooper Sales suspected possible illegal drugs were in the vehicle. They were given consent to search and found components to manufacture methamphetamine, along with marijuana, ecstasy and drug paraphernalia.

Troopers arrested Ashley Hawkins and charged her with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd, Possession of Marijuana, Failure to Signal, Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Theft by Unlawful Taking Anhydrous Ammonia, No Insurance.Her passenger, Ralph Baker, 27 of Paris, TN. was arrested and charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking Anhydrous Ammonia, Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st, No Seatbelt in Use, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st-Ecstasy. They were lodged in the Calloway County Detention Center. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Bowman.
