Rape and Unlawful Imprisonment Investigation in McCracken County

Date of News Release: 03/09/2007

(HICKORY, KY.) - Kentucky State Police Post 1 received a call from Maryann Strong advising that she had been abducted by knifepoint by her estranged husband, Dustan E Strong, in Johnson County, IL. Mrs. Strong advised that they were parked outside the Pilot truckstop off of exit 3 on I 24 at the time of the call. Mrs. Strong advised that her husband was currently out of the vehicle and she had taken his cell phone and called us for assistance. Trooper TJ Williams and Sgt. Lewie Dodd observed for the vehicle and intercepted the semi at the 31 mile marker east bound on interstate 24. At that time Mrs. Strong advised that Mr. Strong had made threats against her life and that he had raped her 3 different times while at the Pilot Truck stop in Paducah. At this time Dustan E Strong was arrested and charged with Rape 1st degree and unlawful imprisonment 1st. Mr. Strong was lodged in the McCracken County Jail. Trooper Williams was assisted by Detective Jerry Jones, Sgt. Lewie Dodd, and Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Williams.
