Drug Arrest in Calloway County

Date of News Release: 02/23/2007

(Calloway County) - On February 22, 2007 Trooper Pervine received text messages on his cellular phone from an unknown number requesting to purchase marijuana. After further correspondence, Trooper Pervine set up a location and a time to meet with the person text messaging him in order to purchase the marijuana. Upon arrival at the location Trooper Pervine was met by Ann Greenfield, 34 years of age teacher at the Murray Middle School. As a result Ms. Greenfield was taken into custody and charged with Conspiracy to Trafficking a Controlled Substance within 1000 yards of a school, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was then lodged at the Calloway County Jail. Trooper Pervine was assisted by Trooper Russell Boyd u/251, the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force, and the Murray Police Department.
