Fatal Crash on KY 92 in Lyon County

Date of News Release: 02/19/2007

(Lyon County) - Shawn J. Hayden was traveling South on KY. 93 when he ran off the right side of the road. He overcorrected back left which caused the vehicle to rotate and overturn twice, coming to rest on its top. Hayden, who was wearing his seatbelt, received multiple injuries and was transported to Caldwell County Hospital and then transferred to Western Baptist Hospital. Hayden died as a result of the injuries he received and was pronounced dead at Western Baptist on 2-18-2007 at 9:25AM by the McCracken County Coroner's Office. Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement, Lyon County Sheriff's Department, Rescue and EMS assisted state police at the scene. The investigation is continuing by Trooper John Gabbard.
