Death Investigation in Livingston County

Date of News Release: 02/10/2007

(Livingston County) - At approximately 1227 PM Kentucky State Police Mayfield received a call from Livingston County Rescue. They advised they had retrieved a Tugboat that sank on 1-19-07 in the Ohio River and Brian J. Turner was found inside.

Turner was wearing a life vest at the time of the incident and the life vest was attached to the railing of the boat. Turner had previously been entered NCIC as missing. His next of kin has been notified and the investigation is continuing by Trooper Chris Anderson U/1138 and Detective Brian Duvall U/338.

Cario Marine Service, River Salvage and Barge Company, National Maintenance and Repair of Kentucky Inc., SWS Oil Spill, McCracken and Livingston DES, and Livingston County Coroner assisted the Kentucky State Police on scene.
