News Release

Update to the Cumberland County Threat Complaint Investigation

Date of News Release: 11/30/07

(Columbia, KY) - The suspect in the Terroristic Threatening Case in Monroe Co has been apprehended in Kansas.

Twenty-five year old Jeremy Ray Blackburn, who had threatened Judge Steve Hurt's life yesterday, has been arrested in Great Bend, Kansas by the Police Department there around noon today on a traffic stop. Blackburn, who is from Tompkinsville, Ky, will be extradited back to Monroe Co where he will face charges of Terroristic Threatening 2nd degree, Intimidating a Judicial officer and Harassing Communications.
