News Release

Injury Collision on Bernard Lane Russell County

Date of News Release: 11/06/07

(Columbia, KY) - 20 yr old Paul Peters, Jr., of Russell Springs was operating a 1991 Geo Prism on Bernard Lane when he pulled onto U.S. 127 in the pathway of a 2002 GMC truck being operated by 17 yr old Jordon T. Wethington of Russell Springs.

Mr. Wethington was wearing his seatbelt and not injured. Mr. Peters along with 2 of his passengers, 18 year old Catherine Beming and 44 year old Mary Bender both of Russell Springs were all wearing their seatbelt and treated & released from the Russell County Hosptial. Another passenger in the Peters' vehicle, 13 year old Angela Beming was also wearing her seatbelt, taken by ambulance to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville. Mr. Peters was cited to court for Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance.

Tpr. Wesley was assisted at the scene by The Russell Springs Fire Department and the Russell County Sheriff's Department.
