Marijuana Growing Operation Arrest in Adair County

(Columbia, KY) - On July 24, 2007, the Kentucky State Police and the HIDTA Drug Task Force arrested Daniel Watson, age 42, of 550 Jr. Loy Road, Columbia, Kentucky for growing marijuana in the Flatwoods area of Adair County.
Daniel Watson was arrested in his outdoor marijuana growing operation. An indoor grow was also located at the scene. Watson was charged with Cultivating Marijuana over 5 Plants with a Firearms Enhancement. Officers seized a total of 342 marijuana plants, four firearms, two 4 wheelers, numerous grow lights and other marijuana cultivating paraphernalia. Daniel Watson was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
This investigation is continuing by Detective Danny Burton of the HIDTA Drug Task Force.
