May Monthly Activity From Post 15

(Columbia, KY) - During the month of May 2007, there were 41 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.

There was one fatality:
CONSTANCE BASTIEN, Ontario, Canada, was killed in Washington County on 05/16/07.

This brings our yearly fatality count to 12 compared with 17 through this same period in 2006.

State wide fatality count stands at 332 compared with 341 through this same period in 2006.

During the month of May 2007, there were 2,162 citations written, 381 courtesy notices written, 3,924 vehicles inspected, 1,122 complaints answered, 85 motorists assisted, 76 criminal cases opened and 373 criminal arrests made.
