News Release

Update to Death Investigation in Casey County

Date of News Release: 04/19/07

(Columbia, KY) - On April 18, 2007, at approximately 7:00 EDT, 25 year old William Joshua Clay Williams was involved in an altercation at his residence with a male juvenile. Williams later collapsed and was transported by EMS to the Casy County Hospital where he was pronounced dead by the Casey County Coroner, Tommy Clark.

After further investigation by the Kentucky State Police it was determined that 25 year old William Joshua Clay Williams did not die of natural causes but instead died as a result of blunt force trauma.

A 16 year old juvenile has been arrested and charged with Murder.

The investigation is continuing by Detective George Atwood.
