News Release

Update on Bank Robbery Investigation in Green County

Update:

Arrested Feb 9, 2007 was Louise Atwood, age 48, Campbellsville Ky. She was charged with complicity to commit robbery 1st and tampering with physical evidence.


(Columbia, KY) - On 02/09/2007, the Kentucky State Police in Columbia received a complaint from Greensburg Dispatch of an armed robbery at the Summersville Branch of the Deposit Bank and Trust Company. A subject entered the bank with a weapon and demanded money. The subject left the bank with an unknown amount of money in a white Pontiac Grand Prix, which had what appeared to be paper and duct tape around the back bumper and license plate. Kentucky State Police from the Columbia and Elizabethtown Posts, Greensburg Police Department, a Green County Constable, Taylor County Sheriff's Department, Campbellsville Police and the FBI assisted in the search for the suspects. One subject has been arrested in connection with the robbery. More arrests are pending at this time. More information will be released as it becomes available.
