Fatal Collision on Daveys Run in Carter County
(Ashland, KY) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland is investigating a single vehicle collision that claimed the life of a Grayson resident. Joseph Hensley was travelling southbound on Daveys Run when he lost control of his vehicle. Hensley's vehicle dropped off the shoulder of the roadway and over a steep embankment, striking several trees before coming to final rest in a ditch. Hensley was airlifted to St. Mary's Medical Center for treatment of multiple injuries. Hensley succumbed to his injuries on 11-14-07 and was pronounced dead by the Cabell County Coroner.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation by Trooper Ryland. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
