Criminal Abuse 1st Degree Arrest in Greenup County

Staten, click here to enlarge this photo (Ashland, KY) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland have arrested a Greenup County resident following an investigation by the Kentucky State Police. David J. Staten age 21 of Flatwoods, KY was arrested by Detective Aaron Martin at the Greenup County Detention Center on the charge of Criminal Abuse 1st Degree after he caused serious physical injury to his 4 month old son. The Kentucky State Police was notified by Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) reference to a four month old infant in their care that appeared to have suffered physical injury (Retinal Hemorrhaging- Shaking Baby Syndrome). Detective Martin responded and conducted his investigation, which led to the arrest of Staten.
