Double Fatality Collision in Greenup County
Date of News Release: 05/18/2007
(Ashland, KY) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland are continuing their investigation following a single-vehicle fatality collision that occurred on Flat Fork Road in South Shore, Ky. Approximately 0320 hours this date, Donald Robinson was travelling south on Flat Fork Road towards KY 784 when he lost control of his vehicle. Mr. Robinson struck a tree on the passenger side of the vehicle then spun back onto the roadway.
Greenup County Deputy Coroner pronounced both Stephanie Rhoden and Lisa Pick dead at the scene. The third occupant, Robert Roe, was transported to Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital for Multiple injuries but was treated and released.
An Accident Reconstructionist responded to the accident scene. Alcohol, drugs, and speed are factors in the collision.
This collision is still under investigation by Trooper Chris Yavorcik and Trooper Mike Murriel of Kentucky State Police Post 14 Ashland.
Donald Robinson was charged with 2 Counts Reckless Homicide/ DUI 1st Aggravating Circumstances/ Operating on a Suspended License/ Possession of Marijuana. Mr. Robinson was lodged into the Greenup County Detention Center.
