Fatal Crash on I-64 in Shelby County

Date of News Release: 07/07/2007

(Frankfort, KY) - Jeremy T. Harris was traveling westbound on I-64 in the left lane. Jeremy T. Harris traveled across the right lane and into the emergency lane. Mr. Harris' vehicle then struck the end of a guard rail and rotated backwards out of control striking several trees. The vehicle caught fire and all occupants got out of the vehicle. Edward K. Williams Jr., (passenger) was transported by Stat Flight to the University of Louisville Hospital where he died. Jeremy T. Harris and other passenger (Christina Harris) were transported by Shelby County EMS to the Jewish Shelbyville Hospital. Collision remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
