Injury Crash Involving Trooper On I-75

(Frankfort, KY ) - Kentucky State Police Post 12- Frankfort is investigating an injury accident. On Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at approximately 01:44 am a 1994 Mazda van was south on I 75 at mile marker 107 when the driver lost control of the vehicle after crossing a icy bridge. The van struck the bridge wall and came to rest in roadway. Trooper Lagrange was traveling south on I 75 when he came upon the van which was stopped across two lanes of the interstate. Trooper Lagrange took evasive action to avoid striking the van. While taking evasive action he struck a guardrail and the vehicle came to rest in the southbound emergency lane. Trooper Lagrange was taken to Saint Joseph East with minor injuries and later released. Investigation continuing by Kentucky State Police.
