Drug Trafficking Arrests In Estill County

(RICHMOND, KY) - A year long investigation into illicit drug trafficking in Estill County has culminated with the arrests of sixteen people. On 7/18/2006 at 0530 hours, troopers of the Kentucky State Police Post 7, Richmond, began serving warrants on suspected drug traffickers in Estill County. The troopers were assisted by the US Forest Service and the Bureau Of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. The sixteen people who were arrested were lodged in the Estill County Jail. The investigation into illicit drug trafficking in Estill County is ongoing. The Kentucky State Police encourage the public to report any suspected illegal drug activity to our anonymous drug tip-line at 1-800-DOPETIP or the Kentucky State Police Post 7 Richmond at 1-800-222-5555 (in the state of Kentucky only, does not work out of state).
