Collision Involving Grant County Deputy

(Dry Ridge, KY) - The Kentucky State Police are investigating a collision involving a Grant County Deputy Sheriff in Grant County. According to Trooper Buddy Carey, Deputy Andy Reeves responded to a non-injury accident on I75 at the 161mm at approximately 7:19 AM. Deputy Reeves had made contact with the driver of unit 1 that was initially involved in the collision. The operator of unit 1 was seated in Deputy Reeves cruiser while the Deputy was outside gathering information concerning the initial collision. A second vehicle, travelling north on I75 approaching the accident scene lost control and struck Deputy Reeve's cruiser and in turn struck Deputy Reeves causing minor injury to his arm.
The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Buddy Carey.
