Injury Crash on I-65 in Hardin County

Date of News Release: 10/31/2006

(Elizabethtown, KY) - Angie L Bohannon was driving a 1993 Toyota Pick-up and was north bound on I65. John M Woolum was driving a 2005 Peterbilt and was south bound I65. Ms. Bohannon's vehicle veered off of left side of the roadway crossing the median into the path of Mr. Woolum's truck. Mr. Woolum's truck struck Ms. Bohannon's vehicle in the side, after impact both units left the right side of the roadway traveling down an embankment. Ms. Bohannon's vehicle came to a final rest in a grassy area. Mr. Woolum's truck came to final rest against several trees.

Angie Bohannon was flown by life net to University of Louisville Hospital. John Woolum was transported by Hardin County EMS to Hardin Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.

Kentucky State Police was assisted by Radcliff Fire and Rescue, Central Hardin Fire Department, Lebanon Junction Fire Department, and State Highway Department. This accident is still under investigation by Trooper Terry Whittaker.
