Hart County Death Investigation

Date of News Release: 12/26/2006

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - On December 24th Hart County Sheriff Department received a call from the mother of the victim who stated that her daughter had been missing for two days. Hart County Sheriff Department contacted Search and Rescue to conduct a search of the area. During the course of the search on Monday 12/25/2006, the victim was located deceased in a wooded area located off of Rowletts Cave Springs Road. Upon finding the victim, Hart County Coroners Office requested the assistance of The Kentucky State Police to investigate the death of the victim. The victim was taken to Louisville for an autopsy on Tuesday and preliminary results concluded that foul play was involved in the death of the victim. Further investigation concluded that the suspect was located and enough evidence was found to obtain a warrant and lodge James Hodges on Sodomy 1st charge. The investigation is ongoing and no further details are being released at this time.
