Fatal Crash on I-65 in Hart County

Date of News Release: 12/14/2006

((BOWLING GREEN, KY) - Taiwanna Njuguna was southbound on I-65 about 4 miles south of Munfordville when for unknown reasons, the vehicle dropped off the left side of the roadway. Taiwanna Njuguna corrected by pulling the wheel back to the right, but overcorrected, causing the vehicle to head back towards the inside median. After leaving the roadway, Taiwanna Njuguna vehicle overturned 3 to 4 times before coming to final rest on the passenger side. During the course of the vehicle overturning, both passengers (Jazmine Sylvester and John Alexander) were ejected from the vehicle. Passengers were flown to University of Louisville and Kosair's Children's Hospital in Louisville. Taiwanna Njuguna was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hart County Coroner. The investigation is ongoing and no further details are being released at this time.
