Greenhill Meth Lab Located and Arrest

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - On October 1, 2006 Post 3 units responded to a complaint on Greenhill Road in reference to a suspected meth lab hidden in the woods. Post 3 units were able to identify voices coming for inside the wooded area and the smell of anhydrous ammonia.
Due to the likelyhood of dangerous chemicals being present at the scene post 3 units at that time contacted DESI West and began a joint investigation. During a search of the area anhydrous ammonia tanks and various cooking items were found.
On october 6, 2006 while conducting surveillance Detective Brad Harper observed the above suspect going to Greenhill location a short period later the suspect left the location.
The subject observed Detective Harper and attempted to flee. Detective Harper contacted Post and other DESI units for assistance. Detectives Harper and Travis located the subject's vehicle hidden behind a house a short distance from the scene and took him into custody.
Subject was arrested and lodged in the Warren County Jail. Units secured the Greenhill location processed the methamphetamine lab. Assessment of the scene revealed the location was a large scale clandestine lab capable of producing poundage of finished product. Further charges are pending grand jury indictments.
