Assault Investigation in Allen County

Date of News Release: 09/14/2006

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - On 09-13-06 at approx. 2245 hours, Joey and Beverly Fancher were at the Browns Ford Boat Ramp in Allen County at a camp fire near the water when someone in an unknown vehicle traveling north across the bridge on KY 98 fired multiple shots from a firearm, striking Joey Fancher once in the left arm. There is no motive for the shooting at this time and no description of the vehicle. Anyone with any information in reference to this incident, please contact Trooper BJ Eaton with the Kentucky State Police at (270)782-2010.
