Injury Crash on I-65 in Barren County

Date of News Release: 08/07/2006

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - Richard Wilkerson Jr., was traveling northbound on I-65 when the vehicle went into the median and crossed into southbound traffic and struck Aimee Abney's vehicle. After impact the Ms. Abney's vehicle traveled south and hit the rock wall on the right hand side of the roadway. William Woods also traveling southbound struck Mr. Wilkerson's vehicle, causing Mr. Wilkerson's vehicle to burst into flames. After impact Mr. Woods' vehicle traveled into the median coming to final rest. Mr. Wilkerson's vehicle came to final rest against the rock wall off the right side of the roadway. Mr. Wilkerson was flown to U of L. Ms. Abney nor was Mr. Woods not injured.
