July 2006 Activity Report

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - The Post Commander, Captain Bill Payton of the Kentucky State Police, Post 3 is reporting the following activity for the month of July 2006.
Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 2,266 citations of which 986 were for speeding, 137 for no seatbelts, and 10 for no child restraint. Sixty people were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 757 courtesy notices investigated 109 accidents, of which 4 were fatals, and assisted 354 motorist, while inspecting 3,865 vehicles.
Detectives and Troopers investigated 1,574 complaints, and opened 111 criminal cases, and made 329 criminal arrests.
Troopers also worked 731 special details and programs for July.
