Fatal Crash on Nashville Road in Warren County, KY

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - Clarence Blankenship, age 44 of Bowling Green, KY was traveling southbound on Nashville Road when he pulls into a private drive to make a U-turn to go back north. As Mr. Blankenship pulls out of the driveway, she fails to see Rodney Scoggins, age 38 of Bowling Green, KY traveling northbound. Mr. Blankenship's vehicle pulls into the path of Mr. Scoggins vehicle. Mr. Scoggins vehicle impacts the passenger side of Mr. Blankenship's vehicle and causes Mr. Blankenship's vehicle to be impacted by Harry Goostree, age 75 of Orlinda, TN, which is southbound. Both Mr. Scoggins and Mr. Goostree braked and steered to avoid impact with Mr. Blankenship.

Warren County Deputy Coroner, Chris Smith, pronounced the passenger (Darla Blankenship, age 47 of Bowling Green, KY) of Mr. Clarence Blankenship's vehicle dead at the scene. Mr. Blankenship was transported to The Medical Center at Bowling Green with minor injuries. Harry Goostree suffered a minor hand injury.
