Two Freightliners Collide on I-65 at Mile Maker 46

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - Nelson Stanley was traveling northbound on I-65. Harry Osborne Jr. was stationary at the 46 mile marker northbound due to an injury accident that had occurred 5 miles north of that location and had traffic stopped. Mr. Stanley failed to yield to the stopped traffic and struck the left rear of Mr. Osborne's Freightliner. Mr. Stanley's Freightliner veered into the center median where his load shifted causing his trailer compartment to break in half. Mr. Stanley's Freightliner came to rest in the median and Mr. Osborne's Freightliner remained in the parked position in the far right lane. Neither driver was injured. I65 was shut down at various times until wreckers could remove the vehicles.
