Fatal Crash on KY 483 in Graves County

Date of News Release: 08/30/2006

(Graves County, KY) - Kayla Ballard was Eastbound on KY 483 when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway down an embankment. Ms. Ballard's vehicle struck a tree causing the vehicle to overturn before coming to a final rest on its roof. The passenger (Andrew Holmes) was able to exit the vehicle and suffered only minor injuries. Ms. Kayla Ballard was pronounced dead on the scene by Graves County Coroners Office. The Graves County Sheriffs Department, Mayfield-Graves County Ambulance Service and the Graves County Coroners Office assisted Kentucky State Police. Investigation continues with Tpr Jerry Jones.
