Symsonia Man Charged with Soliciting a Minor During an Online Conversation

Date of News Release: 06/19/2006

(BENTON, KY.) On June 19, 2006 Detectives with the Kentucky State Police charged a Symsonia man with soliciting a minor during an online conversation. Detective Russell Boyd arrested Allen Shane Collie, 19 of Symsonia, charging him with Solicitation to Commit Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor. Collie allegedly had an online conversation with an adult female from Marshall County. During this conversation, Collie requested she bring a ten-year-old female to his home for a sexual encounter. The online conversation was discovered after Detectives arrested Collie in April 2006. On April 26, 2006 Detective Boyd charged Collie in Graves County for Distributing Material Portraying a Minor in a Sexual Performance. Collie was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center. The investigation is continuing by Detective Boyd.
