Accident with Injuries in Carlisle County, KY

Date of News Release: 04/17/2006

(Carlisle County, KY) - On April 16, 2006, Carlisle County 911 Center received a 911 call from the above address of a 1-year-old female that had been run over by a vehicle in the driveway of the residence. The driver was backing his Chevrolet pickup truck out of the driveway and was unaware that his 1-year-old neice, who was outside playing with her sister, was in his path of travel. When Mr. Turner realized that he had struck his neice, he immediately checked the status of the child who was conscious and alert. He then went inside the residence and advised the child's mother what had happened. The mother called 911 and Carlisle County EMS responded. The mother then took the victim to Jackson Purchase Medical Center via private vehicle. The victim was admitted into the hospital due to the injuries sustained from the accident. Kentucky State Police was assisted by Carlisle County Sheriffs Department. The investigation continues by the Kentucky State Police.
