Correctional Guard at the Kentucky State Penitentiary in Eddyville Arrested

(Graves County, KY) - On this date (04/04/06) at approximately 10 am, detectives with Kentucky State Police Post One Mayfield arrested Deena A. Lehan (26) of Murray for Bribery of a Public Servant. This arrest was effected on 12th Street in the city limits of Murray, after an investigation revealed that Lehan , who was employed as a correctional guard at the Kentucky State Penitentiary in Eddyville, agreed to smuggle drugs to a maximum security inmate at the Eddyville institution. The arrest was made without incident after Lehan received over $1600.00 from an undercover Kentucky State Police detective in Murray. Bribery of a Public Servant is a class C felony punishable by imprisonment of 5 - 10 years. Lehan was lodged in the Calloway County Detention Center. The investigation is continuing by Post One detectives, in cooperation with the Kentucky State Penitentiary/Department of Corrections.
