Injury Crash on KY 564 in Graves County, KY

Date of News Release: 04/05/2006

(Graves County, KY) - Sherman Mabe was traveling Southbound on KY 564 and met Michael Roberts who was traveling Northbound. Mr. Mabe's vehicle and Mr. Roberts' vehicle swiped mirrors causing glass from the mirrors to enter the cab portion of Mr. Roberts's vehicle striking the Mr. Roberts in the face. Both vehicles stopped briefly, and then Mr. Mabe fled the scene. While on routine patrol at approximately 3:30 PM Trooper Patterson observed a semi fitting the description of Mr. Mabe's vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Subsequently, the driver of Mr. Mabe was cited into court for Leaving the Scene of an Accident and No Insurance. Michael Roberts was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center by a private vehicle. Investigation continues with Tpr. Patterson with the Kentucky State Police.
