Injury Crash on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway in Adair County

Date of News Release: 09/23/2006

(Columbia, KY) - Robert L. Blankenship age 58 of Bagersville, IN was traveling westbound on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway when he lost control of his Tractor Trailer and ran off the roadway and struck a guardrail. Mr. Blankenship's vehicle than crossed the westbound lanes and overturned and landed in the median. Mr. Blankenship was belted and was transported by EMS to University of Louisville Hospital.

Mr. Blankenship was extricated from the vehicle by the Adair County Rescue Squad. Trooper Richard was assisted at the scene by the Adair County Sheriff's Department, Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement, Adair County Fire Department, and the Adair County EMS. The State Highway Department also responded to the scene to repair the roadway. Louie B. Nunn Parkway was closed for approximately 3 hours.
