News Release

Fatal Crash US Highway 127 in Clinton County

Date of News Release: 07/22/2006

(Columbia, KY) - Louis Caraballo was traveling northbound on US Highway 127 when his vehicle crossed the centerline and struck Loretta Kemper's vehicle. Both vehicles left the roadway.

Mr. Caraballo was treated and released at the Clinton County Hospital. Mr. Caraballo's passenger Michelle Raines was airlifted to University of Kentucky Medical Center. Mr. Caraballo's other passenger was treated and released at Clinton County Hospital. Ms. Kemper was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clinton County Coroner.

Trooper Baker conducted the investigation with assistance from Sgt. Rob Winsett, Trooper David Long, Trooper Ricky Brooks, Clinton County EMS and the Clinton County Fire Department.
