News Release

Update to Injury Crash on KY 555 in Washington County, KY

Updated on news release below

Jeremy M. Mudd was pronounced dead this date 7-1-06 at 1750hrs by the Fayette County Coroner at UK Medical Center, the accident is still under investigation by TFC Billy Gregory.


(Columbia, KY) - Zachary M. Smith was operating a 2000 Ford EMS Unit and was southbound on KY 555 with emergency equipment activated en route to a call. Jeremy M. Mudd was operating a 1995 Chevy Blazer and was traveling east on US 150 and ran a red light and struck the EMS Unit and then the EMS Unit struck a utility pole and overturned. Mr. Mudd was flown to UK Hospital. Mr. Smith and Ms. Tammy Burkhart (passenger in EMS Unit) were also flown to UK Hospital.
