Date of News Release: 03/21/2006

(Columbia, KY) - Two adults and an infant escaped serious injury March 21 when the Ford Ranger in which they were riding was struck in the rear by a Chevrolet truck driven by Chad C. Roy of Russell Springs. The crash took place on Highway 80 in the city limits of Russell Springs around 6 p.m. All four people, who were wearing seat belts, were treated and released from Russell County Hospital.

Donald Ford Jr. and his passengers, Stephanie Taylor, 23, and Makalee Taylor, 18 months, all of Monticello, were traveling east on Highway 80 when they stopped in the roadway to avoid striking a third vehicle that had pulled into their path. The truck driven by Roy, also traveling east on Highway 80, then struck Ford's vehicle in the rear.
