Fatal Crash on KY 53 Near Willisburg, KY

(Columbia, KY) - Kentucky State Police investigated a traffic collision 2 Miles South of Willisburg on Ky 53.

Unit 1 was operated by Kendra Elswick, 17 years old of Willisburg. Ms. Elswick was traveling Southbound on Ky 53 when she lost control of her vehicle, ran off the roadway and overturned several times. Ms. Elswick was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

She was airlifted to UK Medical Center where she succumed to her injuries at 1:17 P.M. Eastern Time.

This collision is being investigated by Tpr Fred Cornett. The collision seemed to be the result of slick roadways.
