A Byrdstown, TN Man Charged with Murder and Other Charges in Clinton County, KY

(Columbia, KY) - David Lynn Wray, age 30, of Byrdstown, TN. has been charged with murder. Wray was operating a 98 Chrysler on Saturday, January 7th, when he attempted to flee from police after being observed running at a high rate of speed, and driving recklessly. Troopers discovered the vehicle approximately ½ mile down the road, overturned. The vehicle had left the roadway and overturned several times. A passenger, 37 year old, Patsy L. Phillips was ejected from the vehicle and later pronounced dead at the Clinton County Hospital, by the Clinton County Coroner Steve Talbott.

Jonathan Earl Wray was also a passenger at the time of the accident, and was admitted to the Clinton County Hospital, as a result of the injuries he sustained in the collision.

David Lynn Wray was a Fugitive from Justice when he attempted to flee from police. Wray was also charged with Being a Persistent Felony 2nd Degree, Alcohol Intoxication, and Disorderly Conduct.

Additional charges are possible, pending the investigation by Accident Reconstructionist, Trooper Dewayne Holder.
