Update to Kentucky State Police Trooper struck by vehicle while investigating traffic accident in Floyd County

(Harold, KY.) - Kentucky State Police in Pikeville are continuing their investigation into the motor vehicle collision involving a Post 9 Trooper.
Trooper Billy Joe Caudill currently remains at Pikeville Medical Center where his condition has been upgraded to "Good".
Trooper Caudill, age 24, is a two-year veteran with the Kentucky State Police and has been assigned to the Pikeville Post his entire career.
The accident is still under investigation by the Kentucky State Police Accident Reconstructionist Detective Eddie Crum. The investigating officer will be back on scene today to continue the investigation. Periodic traffic delays can be expected around 1030 AM on US 23 in Harold, KY.
