Date of News Release: 11/16/2006
(Ashland, KY) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland are investigating a single vehicle collision that occurred on US23 in Lowmansville, Ky involving a semi-trailer and the 23 Camper Sales. The collision occurred around 1335 hours. Unit 1 was travelling northbound on US23 when the semi-trailer left the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. Unit 1 then veered into the 23 Camper Sales lot and struck nine travel trailers (campers) parked at the business. Rural Electric Cooperative replaced the utility pole guide wire and the semi-trailer was removed by Rick's Towing. The semi-trailer was owned by Schneider National out of Green Bay, Wisconsin and was carrying pastries (Kellogg's Pop-Tarts)
The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Craig Morella.
