News Release

Arson Investigation in Shelby County

Date of News Release: 12/04/2006

(Post 12 Frankfort) - At 16:06 Hrs Tuesday 11-28-06 a residential structure fire occurred at 827 Henry Clay St. Shelbyville, KY. The building was owned by Mr. Greg Woods and was utilized as rental property.

The investigation of the fire determined that the fire originated inside the 2nd floor apartment being rented by Jennifer Whitehouse and James Kearney. Their apartment was unoccupied at the time of the fire but a 1st floor apartment was occupied. Anyone with information concerning this fire is asked to call the Kentucky Arson Hotline at 1-800-27-ARSON (1-800-262-7766). The Kentucky Arson Task Force will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of an arsonist. Callers may remain anonymous.
