Anderson County Death Investigation

(Frankfort, KY) - On Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at approximately 3:19 PM Randy E. Balch walked into the Anderson County Sheriff's Department and reported that his girl friend was deceased. Lawrenceburg PD, Anderson Co. SO and the Anderson Co. EMS arrived at 110 Broadway and found a 50 year old white female deceased. The Anderson Co. Coroner and Kentucky State Police responded to the residence. Randy E. Balch was taken to the Franklin Co. Regional Hospital with minor injuries. The victim's daughter was transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington with minor injuries. On Thursday, March 16, 2006 at 2:45 AM, Randy E. Balch, age 33 of Lawrenceburg, was charged with Unlawful Imprisonment, Sodomy 1st and Sexual Abuse against the juvenile. He was lodged in the Franklin County Jail. At the present time Kentucky State Police Post 12 is conducting a Death Investigation. The victim's name is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin. Post 12 will update this investigation as information becomes available. The actual cause of death is undetermined at this time pending autopsy report.
