Kentucky State Troopers Want Motorist To Use Caution While Traveling Kentucky's Roads During the Thanksgiving Holiday

Campbellsburg, Kentucky - The upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday will have many families traveling various distances for a variety of reasons. Troopers would like to remind all motorists that the long holiday weekend will increase traffic significantly along Kentucky's roadways. Troopers will be looking for motorist that are not obeying the posted speed limits as well as holding traffic safety checkpoints in an effort to keep unsafe vehicles and impaired drivers off the roadways.

The Kentucky State Police also need your help to reduce fatalities and personal injury crashes. Motorists are asked not to drink and drive and to operate their vehicles in a safe manner. Motorist can also help troopers make this holiday safe by reporting stranded motorist, reckless drivers and possible impaired drivers by calling 1-800-222-5555 (in the state of Kentucky only, does not work out of state) or 911 for emergencies.

All motorist are reminded that seatbelts and child safety restraint devices are the law in Kentucky.
