A Louisville Man Arrested and Charged with Several Charges

(Carrollton, KY) - On October 04, 2005 at 2:05am troopers from the Campbellsburg Post were assisting the Carrollton Police Department in locating a vehicle involved in a hit and run crash occurred in Carrollton, KY. Trooper Charlie Kelton located the vehicle traveling south bound on I-71 near Crestwood, Ky. Trooper Kelton attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver, Sean A. Sokacz age 22, from Louisville, KY refused to stop. Trooper Kelton was assisted in the pursuit by Louisville Metro Police Officers. The pursuit lasted for about 20 miles when officers were able to stop Mr. Sokacz vehicle with the use of a tire deflation device. The pursuit ended on Watterson Trail in Louisville, KY with out further incident. Mr. Sokacz was lodged in the Oldham County Jail For DUI, Fleeing and Evading, Reckless Driving, Driving on a Suspended Operators License, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon and 2 outstanding warrants from Jefferson County.
