Arrest in Butler County, KY

Date of News Release: 11/22/2005

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - Units were conducting a road check on Morgantown Road on the north side of the Greenriver Bridge. A vehicle approached the road check and then turned onto a side street in an attempt to avoid the officers. KSP units caught up to the vehicle at which point the driver fled on foot. Bucso and Morgantown police departments detained four subjects in the vehicle. KSP canine was utilized in an attempt to locate the driver. KSP Canine Unit and Trooper Phelps located the driver in a underbrush behind a salvage yard. The operator was detained without further incident. Morgantown Police Department and Butler County Sheriff Department arrested two other occupants in the vehicle.

The driver Eric Stice Operating On Suspended O.L., Fleeing/Evading Police 2nd(On Foot), No Seatbelt, Expired Ky Registration Plate, Expired Ky Registration Receipt, No Insurance Nonowner, Allowing Vehicle To Stand On Grade Without Setting Brake And Turning Wheel.
