A Man Barricaded Himself From Law Enforcement

(Bowling Green, KY) - Law Enforcement has been attempting to locate Bernis Wayne Rupe Jr, regarding a warrant for his arrest regarding the suspect violating the conditions of his bond. Mr. Rupe Jr, was located at 615 Howser Road in Barren County. Officers surrounded the residence and attempted to get the suspect out of the residence. Mr. Rupe Jr, barricaded himself inside the residence for 8 ½ hours. Kentucky State Police Special Response Team were called to the scene to assist. Upon their arrival, chemical agents were introduced into the residence. Mr. Rupe Jr, then surrendered to officers without further incident. The investigation is ongoing and no further details are being released at this time.
