Apprehension of Assault Suspect

Date of News Release: 01/26/2005

(Bowling Green, KY) - On 01-21-2005 an assault occurred at 2281 Oak Grove Road in Clarkson, KY. The victim was a 54-year-old female who was found after having been struck in the back of the head. Local agencies were notified to attempt to locate Charles D Heaverin to question in this incident.

Suspect was driving a stolen 1988 blue and white Chevrolet dually pickup and was believed to be in the Bowling Green area. At 16:19 hours 01-26-2005 KSP Bowling Green received information that Mr. Heaverin was at a residence on Oriole Street in Bowling Green. The suspect's vehicle was located and after a subsequent search of the area Mr. Heaverin was located and taken into custody without further incident.

This investigation is continuing by KSP Bowling Green and KSP Elizabethtown.
