Post 3 2004 Activity Report

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - The Post Commander, Captain Jeff Mayberry of the Kentucky State Police, Post 3 is reporting the following activity for the year of 2004.

Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 21,229 citations of which 9,198 were for speeding, 1,506 for no seatbelts, and 83 for no child restraint. 444 people were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 5,125 courtesy notices investigated 1,420 accidents, of which 71 were fatalities, and assisted 3,342 motorist, while inspecting 28,367 vehicles.

Detectives and Troopers investigated 15,496 complaints, and opened 2,008 criminal cases, and made 3,413 criminal arrests, and investigated 51 non-criminal cases.

Troopers also worked 7,537 special details and programs for 2004.
