Death Investigation in Bowling Green, KY

(Bowling Green, KY) - The Kentucky State Police was contacted with regard to a welfare check at the address of 231 North Campbell Road Bowling Green, Kentucky. Trooper's Dathan Tarrence, and Terry Alexander were dispatched to the Cavazos residence. Upon arrival the units were unable to make contact with Ms. Cavazos or any other person at the home. However, while looking through the windows, troopers observed a small child in the kitchen area who was obviously in distress. The responding officers took immediate action by forcing entry into the house and securing the little boy. Tpr. Alexander summoned EMS and had the child transported to the Medical Center at Bowling Green. Troopers found the child's mother, Carolyn L. Cavazos deceased in a rear bedroom. A death investigation with no suspicion of foul play is continuing by Post 3 detectives.
